Privacy Policy

    Last updated: July 8, 2026

This policy describes what information is (and is not) collected when you use ToolsForge (toolsforge.xyz), and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English.

Files You Process With Our Tools

Every tool on ToolsForge runs entirely in your browser. When you compress a PDF, remove an image background, convert a file, or use any other tool, the file is read and processed on your own device using browser technologies such as WebAssembly and the Canvas API. Your files are never uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted through our servers. We cannot see, access, or recover anything you process.

    Information We Collect

ToolsForge has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, and no first-party analytics scripts. We do not collect names, email addresses, or profiles of our visitors. Two limited categories of data exist:

    • Hosting logs. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server request logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operations, as virtually every website's infrastructure does.
    • Advertising cookies. Described in the next section.

    Advertising (Google AdSense)

ToolsForge is free to use and is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. You should know the following:

    • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
    • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
    • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
    • You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, a consent message is shown before any personalized advertising cookies are set, and you can decline or change your choice at any time.

    Cookies & Local Storage

ToolsForge itself does not set tracking cookies. Advertising cookies, if any, are set by Google and its partners as described above. Some tools save small preferences in your browser's local storage — for example, the Color Tools page keeps your ten most recent colors so they're there when you come back. That data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

    US State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have rights that include: the right to know what personal information is collected about you, the right to access or delete that information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.

ToolsForge does not sell personal information and does not collect personal information beyond what is described above. To opt out of targeted advertising, use the Google and industry opt-out links in the Advertising section. To exercise any other right, email us at the address below and we will respond within the timeframe required by your state's law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

    Children's Privacy

ToolsForge is a general-audience website and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information (for example, by emailing us), contact us and we will delete it.

    Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy — for example, if we ever add analytics or new advertising partners — we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted prominently.
